أظهرت البيانات الإحصائية الصادرة عن المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات أن إجمالي عدد كبار السن في سلطنة عُمان بلغ نحو 256,469 مسناً في عام 2025م، شكّل العمانيون منهم نحو 73.5 بالمائة، بإجمالي بلغ 188,390 مسناً عُمانياً، مرتفِعاً بنحو 4 بالمائة مقارنة بعام 2024م، وتركز أكثر من نصف كبار السن العُمانيين في محافظات مسقط والداخلية وشمال الباطنة. وتشير التوقعات إلى ارتفاع إجمالي عدد كبار السن العُمانيين إلى نحو 385,395 مسناً بحلول عام 2040م. وأوضحت المؤشرات الصحية أن إجمالي عدد حالات تنويم كبار السن العُمانيين في مؤسسات وزارة الصحة 46,517 حالة في عام 2025م، منخفضاً بنحو 3 بالمائة مقارنة بالعام السابق، وشكّلت أمراض الجهاز التنفسي 14 بالمائة من إجمالي حالات التنويم.. وبلغ إجمالي وفيات كبار السن العُمانيين في مؤسسات وزارة الصحة 2,596 وفاة في عام 2025م، منخفضاً بنحو 45 بالمائة مقارنة بعام 2024م، وشكّلت أمراض الدورة الدموية 24 بالمائة من إجمالي وفيات كبار السن العُمانيين في مؤسسات وزارة الصحة. وفي مجال التعليم، أظهرت المؤشرات أن 33 بالمائة من إجمالي كبار السن العمانيين لا يحملون مؤهلًا تعليميًا في عام 2025م، والبالغ عددهم وبلغ عددهم 62,723 مسنًا شكّل الذكور منهم 32 بالمائة والإناث 68 بالمائة.&nbsp;كما شكّل كبار السن العُمانيون الذين تقل مؤهلاتهم عن دبلوم التعليم العام نحو 26.3 بالمائة من إجمالي كِبار السن العُمانيين لعام 2025م. وفيما يتعلق بالحالة الاجتماعية، أوضحت المؤشرات أن 88 بالمائة من إجمالي كِبار السن العُمانيين الذكور هم متزوجون، مقابل 49 بالمائة من إجمالي كبيرات السن العُمانيات المتزوجات. وفي المؤشرات الاقتصادية بلغ معدل إعالة كبار السن العمانيين 10.8 في عام 2025م، مقارنة بـ 10.7 في عام 2024م. كما شكّل المتقاعدون نحو 26 بالمائة من إجمالي كبار السن العمانيين. وبلغ إجمالي عدد كبار السن العُمانيين المشتغلين 53.9 ألف مشتغل في عام 2025م منخفضاً بنحو 5 بالمائة مقارنة بالعام السابق، فيما بلغ عدد أصحاب الأعمال العُمانيين من كبار السن 7,637 مسنًا، مقارنة بـ 11,958 مسنًا في العام السابق.&nbsp; وأظهرت المؤشرات المتعلقة بالملكية أن 72 بالمائة من إجمالي كبار السن العمانيين يملكون أرضًا واحدة أو أكثر في عام 2025م، فيما بلغت نسبة من يمتلكون وحدة سكنية واحدة أو أكثر 51 بالمائة، كما بلغ إجمالي عدد كبار السن العُمانيين مالكي مركبة واحدة أو أكثر 64.2 ألف مسن. وفيما يتعلق بالحماية الاجتماعية، ارتفع عدد المستفيدين من منفعة كبار السن بنحو 6 بالمائة، ليبلغ 174,662 مستفيدًا في عام 2025م، بما يعادل 93 بالمائة من إجمالي هذه الفئة. وسجلت محافظة مسقط أعلى عدد من المستفيدين من منفعة كبار السن، بواقع 38,192 مستفيدًا، وبنسبة 22 بالمائة من إجمالي المستفيدين. كما ارتفع عدد المستفيدين من الخدمات المقدمة لكبار السن بنحو 20 بالمائة، ليصل إلى 6,996 مستفيدًا في عام 2025م. وبلغ إجمالي عدد المتقاعدين المسجلين في صناديق التقاعد نحو 160 ألف متقاعد، منخفضاً بنحو 4 بالمائة مقارنة بالعام السابق، وشكّل المتقاعدون من القطاع الحكومي 66 بالمائة من الإجمالي. كما أظهرت المؤشرات أن 43 بالمائة من إجمالي الإناث تاركات الخدمة كان بسبب الاستقالة حتى نهاية عام 2025م. يمكنكم تصفح " إصدار (الفئات المجتمعية) 2026 – بيانات 2025" عبر تحميل الإصدار في المكتبة الالكترونية بموقع المركز <a href="http://www.ncsi.gov.om/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">www.ncsi.gov.om</a>&nbsp;

Statistical data issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that the total number of older persons in the Sultanate of Oman reached approximately 256,469 in 2025, of whom 73.5% were Omani national, totaling 188,390 Omani older persons.&nbsp; This represented an increase of approximately 4% compared with 2024, while more than half of Omani older persons concentrated in the Governorates of Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, and North Al Batinah. Projections indicate that the total number of Omani older persons is expected to reach approximately 385,395 by 2040. Health indicators showed that the total number of hospital admissions of Omani older persons at Ministry of Health institutions reached 46,517 cases in 2025, recording&nbsp;decrease of approximately 3% compared with the previous year. Respiratory diseases accounted for 14% of total hospital admissions. The total number of deaths among Omani older persons at the institutions of Ministry of Health reached 2,596 in 2025, recording decrease of approximately 45% compared with 2024. Diseases of the circulatory system accounted for 24% of the total deaths among Omani older persons at Ministry of Health institutions. In education, indicators showed that 33% of Omani older persons had no educational qualification in 2025, totaling 62,723 persons. Males accounted for 32%, while females accounted for 68%. Omani older persons whose educational qualifications were below the General Education Diploma level accounted for approximately 26.3% of the total number of Omani older persons in 2025. Regarding marital status, the indicators showed that 88% of Omani older men were married, compared with 49% of Omani older women. In terms of economic indicators, the old-age dependency ratio among Omanis stood at 10.8 in 2025, compared with 10.7 in 2024. Retirees accounted for approximately 26% of the total number of Omani older persons. The total number of employed Omani older persons reached 53.9 thousand in 2025, a decrease of approximately 5% compared with the previous year. The number of Omani older persons who were business owners reached 7,637, compared with 11,958 in the previous year. Regarding ownership indicators, 72% of Omani older persons owned one or more plots of land in 2025, while 51% owned one or more residential units. The total number of Omani older persons who owned one or more vehicles reached 64.2 thousand. About social protection, the number of beneficiaries of the Older Persons Benefit increased by approximately 6% to reach 174,662 beneficiaries in 2025 representing 93% of the total Omani older persons. Muscat Governorate recorded the highest number of beneficiaries of the Older Persons Benefit, with 38,192 beneficiaries, accounting for 22% of the total. The number of beneficiaries of services provided to older persons also increased by approximately 20%, reaching 6,996 beneficiaries in 2025. The total number of retirees registered with pension funds reached approximately 160 thousand, a decrease of approximately 4% compared with the previous year. أظهرت بيانات نشرة "إحصاءات الصحة 2026" الصادرة عن المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات ارتفاع عدد المؤسسات الصحية في سلطنة عُمان إلى 2,464 مؤسسة في عام 2025م، بنسبة نمو بلغت 3.4 بالمائة مقارنة بعام 2024م، إلى جانب نمو القوى العاملة الصحية وارتفاع عدد من الخدمات الصحية، وتحسن عدد من مؤشرات صحة المرأة والطفل.&nbsp; وبحسب البيانات، ارتفع إجمالي عدد المؤسسات الصحية في القطاعين الحكومي والخاص بواقع 80 مؤسسة خلال عام 2025م، فيما سجلت محافظة مسقط أعلى زيادة بواقع 21 مؤسسة صحية. كما بلغ عدد المستشفيات الحكومية والخاصة 98 مستشفى، مقارنة بـ94 مستشفى في عام 2024م.&nbsp; وسجلت القوى العاملة في المؤسسات الصحية نموًا خلال العام، وبلغت نسبة العُمانيين منها 51 بالمائة، فيما ارتفع عدد الأطباء العُمانيين بنسبة 12 بالمائة ليصل إلى نحو 4.3 ألف طبيب في عام 2025م، مقارنة بـ3.8 ألف طبيب في عام 2024م.&nbsp; وفي الخدمات الصحية، ارتفع إجمالي الزيارات للعيادات الخارجية بمؤسسات وزارة الصحة إلى 16.1 مليون زيارة في عام 2025م، بزيادة نسبتها 3 بالمائة عن عام 2024م، الذي سجل 15.6 مليون زيارة.&nbsp; كما ارتفع إجمالي العمليات الجراحية في المؤسسات التابعة لوزارة الصحة بنسبة 9 بالمائة، ليبلغ 101.7 ألف عملية جراحية في عام 2025م، مقارنة بـ 93.1 ألف عملية في عام 2024م.&nbsp; وشهدت جلسات غسيل الكلى ارتفاعًا بنسبة 5 بالمائة بين عامي 2024 و2025م، لتصل إلى نحو 401 ألف جلسة في عام 2025م، فيما ارتفع عدد المؤسسات الصحية التابعة لوزارة الصحة التي تضم وحدات لغسيل الكلى إلى 32 مؤسسة.&nbsp; &nbsp; وفي مجال التبرع بالدم، ارتفع عدد المتبرعين بنسبة 1.4 بالمائة بين عامي 2024 و2025م، وسجلت محافظة مسقط نحو 50 بالمائة من إجمالي المتبرعين بالدم في عام 2025م، فيما بلغت نسبة العُمانيين من إجمالي المتبرعين 82.7 بالمائة.&nbsp; وسجل معدل وفيات الأمهات العُمانيات انخفاضًا من 14.5 إلى 11.3 وفاة لكل 100 ألف مولود حي بين عامي 2024 و2025م، فيما بلغ معدل الخصوبة لدى النساء العُمانيات 2.8 في عام 2025.&nbsp; أما مؤشرات صحة الطفل، فانخفض معدل وفيات الأطفال الرضع من 8.0 إلى 7.4 وفاة لكل ألف مولود حي، فيما بلغ العمر المتوقع عند الميلاد لإجمالي السكان 78.6 سنة في عام 2025م.&nbsp; وبلغ إجمالي الوفيات المسجلة في المستشفيات التابعة لوزارة الصحة 3,992 وفاة في عام 2025م، وتصدرت أمراض الجهاز الدوري قائمة أبرز أسباب الوفيات المسجلة في تلك المستشفيات.&nbsp; وفي الجانب الاقتصادي، ارتفع إجمالي مصروفات قطاع الصحة إلى نحو 1.162 مليار ريال عُماني في عام 2025م، مقارنة بنحو 1.084 مليار ريال عُماني في عام 2024م، بنسبة ارتفاع بلغت 7.2 بالمائة.&nbsp; وتقدم نشرة "إحصاءات الصحة 2026" مجموعة من المؤشرات الإحصائية حول القطاع الصحي في سلطنة عُمان، تشمل المؤسسات الصحية والقوى العاملة والخدمات الصحية والصحة الإنجابية والمراضة والوفيات، إضافة إلى المؤشرات الاقتصادية لنشاط الصحة، استنادًا إلى بيانات عام 2025م. ويمكن الاطلاع على نشرة «إحصاءات الصحة 2026 – بيانات 2025» وتحميلها عبر المكتبة الإلكترونية للمركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات.

Data from the Health Statistics 2026 publication issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that the number of health institutions in the Sultanate of Oman increased to 2,464 in 2025, recording growth of 3.4% compared with 2024. The data also showed growth in the health workforce, increases in a number of healthcare services, and improvements in several maternal and child health indicators. According to the data, the total number of health institutions in the government and private sectors increased by 80 institutions during 2025, with Muscat Governorate recording the highest increase at 21 health institutions. The number of government and private hospitals reached 98, compared with 94 hospitals in 2024. The health workforce also grew during the year, with Omanis accounting for 51% of the total. The number of Omani doctors increased by 12% to around 4.3 thousand doctors in 2025, compared with 3.8 thousand doctors in 2024. In terms of healthcare services, the total number of outpatient visits to Ministry of Health institutions increased to 16.1 million visits in 2025, up 3% from 15.6 million visits in 2024. The total number of surgical procedures performed at Ministry of Health institutions also increased by 9% to 101.7 thousand procedures in 2025, compared with 93.1 thousand procedures in 2024. Dialysis sessions increased by 5% between 2024 and 2025, reaching around 401 thousand sessions in 2025. The number of Ministry of Health institutions with dialysis units also increased to 32 institutions. In the area of blood donation, the number of donors increased by 1.4% between 2024 and 2025. Muscat Governorate accounted for around 50% of all blood donors in 2025, while Omanis represented 82.7% of the total. The maternal mortality rate among Omani women declined from 14.5 to 11.3 deaths per 100,000 live births between 2024 and 2025, while the fertility rate among Omani women stood at 2.8 in 2025. As for child health indicators, the infant mortality rate declined from 8.0 to 7.4 deaths per 1,000 live births, while life expectancy at birth for the total population stood at 78.6 years in 2025. The total number of deaths registered at Ministry of Health hospitals reached 3,992 in 2025, with diseases of the circulatory system ranking as the leading cause of deaths recorded in those hospitals. On the economic front, total expenditure on the health sector increased to around 1.162 billion OMR in 2025, compared with around 1.084 billion OMR in 2024, representing an increase of 7.2%. The National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) is participating in the 15th Session of the Statistical Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), being held from 29 to 30 September 2026 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with the participation of representatives of statistical offices from OIC member states, as well as a number of regional and international organizations and institutions.Representing NCSI at the session are H.E. Dr Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Barwani, CEO of the National Centre for Statistics and Information; Dr Yousuf bin Mohammed bin Thani Al Riyami, Director General of National Statistics; and Halima bint Yousuf bin Abdullah Al Wahibiya, Director of the Population and Labor Force Statistics Department.The session addresses a number of priority statistical topics and issues for member states. The first day’s program includes a review of reports by the Commission’s Secretariat on the implementation of the resolution adopted at the 14th Session of the OIC Statistical Commission and the implementation of the Commission’s Work Program for 2026–2030. It will also discuss mechanisms for developing a monitoring framework for the OIC Program of Action 2026–2035 and translating strategic priorities into measurable indicators supported by clearly defined data sources.The session will also examine ways to modernize population and housing statistics through digital and interoperable data systems, drawing on digital censuses, administrative records, vital statistics, household surveys, geospatial information and alternative data sources. These efforts aim to enhance the efficiency of statistical systems, support national planning and monitor the Sustainable Development Goals.The discussions will also address the implementation of the System of National Accounts 2025 and related areas, including the measurement of the digital economy, globalization, the informal sector and Islamic finance. The session will further examine challenges related to the development of macroeconomic statistics and enhance their comparability in accordance with international standards.The second day will include a specialized session on monitoring indicators for Sustainable Development Goal 6, which relates to clean water and sanitation for all. The session will focus on the role of national statistical offices in coordinating with relevant authorities and enhancing the use of administrative records, geospatial data and household surveys to produce indicators, verify their quality and prepare related reports.The session will conclude with consideration of the draft resolution and closing remarks. It will also feature a side event organized by the General Authority for Statistics of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in cooperation with the Statistical, Economic and Social Research andTraining Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), focusing on strengthening partnerships within statistical systems.NCSI’s participation in the session reflects its commitment to strengthening statistical cooperation and exchanging expertise and best practices with statistical offices of OIC member states, keeping pace with developments and modern methodologies in statistical work, and contributing to improving the quality of data and indicators and enhancing their role in supporting planning and decision-making.
